A feast of traditional Christmas music will get the audience in the festive mood when Canterbury Music Club holds its next concert on Sunday, December 18 at 3pm.

We are supporting the club as part of our commitment to the arts and the concert will feature music from the choirs Amici Chorus, Bayle Cantata, Simon Langton Boys’ Grammar School Girls Choir and Canterbury Camerata, (leader Stelios Chatziiosifidis). The singers will be accompanied by harpist Alex Rider.

The soloists are Sarah Hale, Becky-Ellice Creighton (soprano), Emily Renshaw-Kidd (mezzo), Jennifer Joosten Brisk (alto), Robin Whitehouse (tenor) and Christopher Gower (continuo), all directed by Grenville Hancox.

Called A Christmas Celebration, the concert features Vivaldi’s Magnificat, Christina Rossetti’s Love Came Down At Christmas, sung by Christoper Gower, Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols and excerpts from Handel’s Messiah.
