We have welcomed two new members of staff at our Folkestone branch in Sandgate Road.
Sadie Channell has joined us as our new compliance officer and Katie Jago (pictured above) is our new administrator and receptionist.
Katie has lived and worked in Kent her whole life and now lives in Folkestone with her boyfriend.
After leaving school she worked in several industries and then started in retail services, working within customer services. During college, where she studied beauty therapy, she also worked for a local beauty salon.
Learning new things
Katie said: “I enjoy watching films at the cinema. I read a lot, in particular mystery and romance novels. I also enjoy cooking, everything from traditional English fare to healthy Mediterranean recipes.
“Post college, I continued to work in the beauty salon until COVID. I went back to work in the retail industry with customer services.
“I then joined Hearbase in August as an administrator and receptionist, where I have really enjoyed working with the team and learning new things.”
Sadie will be helping to support us with health and safety, building maintenance and infection control and will also maintain the company’s policies and procedures, audits, and risk assessments.
“This all goes towards helping to create the best and the safest environment for not only our patients but our employees too,” she said.
Before joining us Sadie was an HR & training administrator for a residential care home group specialising in physical disabilities.
Making a difference
“I looked after five locations, four of which were based in Folkestone and one in Bexhill,” said Sadie. “I have worked in the health and social care sector for the last six years and enjoy being a part of the puzzle to help make a difference to someone.”
In her spare time Sadie likes to go to gigs, live shows/performances and is very happy that restrictions are easing and these events are returning.
“The next show that I am attending is Russell Brand at the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone,” she said. “I also enjoy a good horror film and Halloween is my favourite time of the year. I have just started year two of my psychology and counselling degree and recently re-joined the gym, so I have a very busy schedule ahead!”
