We have launched a service offering advice, counselling and treatment for patients suffering from tinnitus and sound sensitivity.
It offers a range of approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy, relaxation therapy and mindfulness, as well as treatment options. These can include hearing aids with special tinnitus programmes and sound generators which can help to relieve the most distressing symptoms.
Cognitive behavioural therapy is a talking therapy that can help manage your tinnitus by changing the way you think and behave.
An initial assessment includes a range of diagnostic tests to help us understand your difficulty and identify the best approach.
The service is offered by Fiona Idriss, who has been an audiologist for more than 30 years and has worked in the field of tinnitus and sound sensitivity support for more than 10 years.
She trained with the British Tinnitus Association and has worked with some of the UK’s leading tinnitus experts.
The cost of a one-and-a-half hour initial consultation is £150 and can be arranged by contacting our Folkestone office on 01303 254416.
