We are now offering clinics from a new location at Sevenoaks Medical Centre, part of KIMS Hospital.

Our senior audiologist Sandra Rodrigues is running our new service on Mondays and Thursdays.

Sandra joined Hearbase in December 2012. She is also the senior audiologist at BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital in Orpington and runs the hearing aid service at Bromley Park. She is the clinical team lead for our NHS services in North Kent and South East London.

After gaining her audiology degree in Portugal in 2006, Sandra worked with a leading hearing aid supplier. She also worked in the ear, nose and throat department of a clinical centre in Portugal. Here she broadened her experience in diagnostic audiology. She moved to the UK in 2012 to further expand her audiology skills.

She says: “Living in another country is a challenge, but Hearbase gave me great support and after more than seven years I feel I’m home.

Hearing aids improve quality of life

“For me, hearing is a valuable sense that is often forgotten and taken for granted. Helping people to hear better has an impact not only in that person’s life but also to their family and friends. It is amazing to testify every day what a hearing aid can do to improve quality of life.”

In 2015 her family grew with the birth of her son. Since then if she is not helping someone to hear better she will be having fun somewhere with her son and partner.
