We have just appointed two new ear care practitioners – Lacey Challicombe and Damien Emsley.
Lacey has worked in healthcare since 2009, in various settings, including hospitals and nursing and residential homes. During this time she completed her NVQ level 5 in health and social care.
Lacey said: “I have gained many clinical skills along the way, working with some amazing people. I am new to Hearbase and working as an ear care practitioner, but throughout my career I have witnessed how poor ear health can affect social interaction and can develop into isolation.
“I am looking forward to supporting individuals and assisting them in maintaining good ear health.”
In her spare time Lacey enjoys spending time with her family. “I have three daughters who keep me very busy with various activities and many trips out,” she said.
Before joining us Damien was a senior phlebotomist/health care assistant.
“I have been a HCA for more than 13 years now and helping people is something I am very passionate about,” he said. “I am also a personal trainer which I just do on weekends with family and friends when I have the time.
“I love to go to the cinema to see the latest films, love to read, love being in the gym and I also have a soft spot for rescue animals as I have a rescue cat and pony..”
