It has been just over three months since we opened a brand new clinic at Evegate Business Park near Smeeth, Ashford and we are really settling in.
Our staff and patients have taken to the wonderful, quiet countryside setting and excellent new equipment and facilities.
Ear wax removal
Our original plans for Evegate were to hold one wax clinic each week, but we have been delighted with the level of patients booking in for this much-needed procedure. From August we began offering two clinics a week, every Wednesday and Friday, to give more choice and keep waiting times to a minimum.
Speaking about working at Evegate, ear care technician Rachel Harrison said: ‘I’m really enjoying seeing my patients at Evegate. There is plenty of space for all my equipment and each room is designed for maximum discretion, so I can focus on every patient.”
Free parking
Ashleigh Bullen, our additional ear care technician, was also able to attend a recent “Meet & Greet” event held by Evegate Business Park at the end of September to allow new tenants to get to know each other.
“It has been great to meet and greet the other businesses on the park,” said Ashleigh. “There is a real sense of community here. I often nip over for a coffee and sandwich to recharge and ready myself for the rest of the day. My patients have also found it a great place to visit and look around, with excellent free parking.”

Hearing tests and home visits
Evegate has also become a key clinic for us to provide comprehensive hearing tests and hearing aid assessments. Our clinical manager, Marta Lopes, offers clinics to both new and existing patients in the Ashford area every Tuesday and Friday.
Marta uses the custom-fitted main clinic room at Evegate, featuring the very latest audiometric booth and everything she needs to conduct comprehensive hearing assessments.
“The Hearbase team have been made to feel very welcome here at Evegate,” said Marta. “And so have our patients, who all comment on the lovely new clinic space and beautiful countryside just on our doorstep.”
Our continued expansion at Evegate also now includes a dedicated home visit audiologist, Clara Mesquita, who uses Evegate as a base for visiting local patients on regular Mondays and Thursdays.
