Festival Chamber Orchestra aims to capture the English soul
The English Soul is the title of a Canterbury Festival concert which we are pleased to sponsor.
It is taking place on Saturday, October 22 at 7.30pm in the stunning Great Hall at Kent College in Canterbury.
The concert aims to capture the emotive and spiritual nature of Englishness through classical and popular music.
From Purcell to the Moody Blues, Vaughan Williams to a World Premiere of a new work by composer and arranger Michael McDermott, the programme has been chosen to complement the range of stunning soloists – Iain Ballamy, John Harle, David Rees Williams, Ian Shaw and Alison Teale.
The concert, which hopes to encapsulate the essence of the English soul, will be staged by The Festival Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Barlow.

Tickets for the concert on October 22 are £25, £15 students, including £1.50 booking fee. They can be booked here.
