Ear Wax Removal Clinic at the Aylesham Health Centre
Hearbase provides a professional ear wax removal every other Monday, commencing 23rd January 2023: 9am-5pm. Our highly trained ear care technicians use microsuction and water irrigation, as well as manual tools, to remove the build-up of ear wax quickly and safely. The appointment is usually 30 minutes and our technician can also check your general ear health and refer you to our expert audiologists for onward support, including a comprehensive hearing test.

Ashleigh Bullen
Ear care technician
Ashleigh was born and raised in Canterbury where she grew up with her dad and step-mum who are nurses.
“Other family members work in the NHS and care sector, so quite naturally, I found myself working in care and stayed for around eight years,” said Ashleigh. “I worked in care homes, out it in the community and in an agency.
“I then obtained a bachelor’s degree in English and moved to a school to see if teaching was for me. But I found I missed the care sector too much! From all my experience, including the school, there has been a common factor I’ve seen that has isolated people and got them down a lot – that was hearing!
“Hearing is such an essential factor in everyday life and seeing individuals struggle with this really got me interested in helping with hearing loss. I was amazed to find out how many people were affected by ear wax alone. So, here I am, hoping to help some people hear even just a little bit better by relieving them of their wax. I am so excited to embark on this journey and hope to go into further training to become an audiologist.”
