Ear Wax Removal Clinic in Northfleet and Gravesend
Hearbase provides a professional ear wax removal clinic every Tuesday at our Northfleet branch. Our highly trained ear care technicians use microsuction and water irrigation, as well as manual tools, to remove the build-up of ear wax quickly and safely. The appointment is usually 30 minutes and our technician can also check your general ear health and refer you to our expert audiologists for onward support, including a comprehensive hearing test.

Sandra Rodrigues
Senior Audiologist
Sandra joined Hearbase in December 2012. She is the senior audiologist at The KIMS Hospital Maidstone, and our new Sevenoaks Medical Centre, also part of KIMS Hospital.
After gaining her audiology degree in Coimbra, Portugal, in 2006, Sandra worked with a leading hearing aid supplier. She also worked in the ear, nose and throat department of a clinical centre in Portugal where she broadened her experience in diagnostic audiology. She decided to move to the UK in 2012 to further expand her audiology skills.
“For me, hearing is a valuable sense that is often forgotten and taken for granted. Helping people to hear better has an impact not only on that person’s life but also on their family and friends. It is amazing to see every day what a hearing aid can do to improve someone’s quality of life.”
Moving to a new country is a challenge and it is not for everybody, but after almost 10 years she says she feels at home at Hearbase. Sandra grew up in scouts, from beavers, and became a scout leader in Portugal. Moving to the UK, and with the family growing in 2015, Sandra had a break in her scout life but in April 2022 she and her partner joined 5th Chislehurst Scout group where she is the scout troop leader.
When she is not looking after your hearing aid you can probably find her camping or around a campfire with her family and scouts.
