Hearing Specialists

Sandra Rodrigues

Senior Audiologist

Sandra joined Hearbase in December 2012. Her role is to deliver and develop our services for NHS patients in north Kent. A clinical audiologist, she graduated in her home country of Portugal and after qualifying worked with a hearing aid company.

Sandra then took up a post in the ear, nose and throat department of a clinical centre. Here she gained experience in diagnosis. She decided to move to England to broaden her audiology skills and because she loves travelling and finding out about different cultures.

She says: “Living in another country is a challenge but the team work and support at Hearbase is fantastic. This has helped a lot, especially because I am alone in a new country.

“For me, the most important thing is helping people to hear again and get a better quality of life, not only for them but for their families as well. I am an audiologist all the time and if I see someone who needs help I’ll try to help, even when I am not working.”

In Portugal Sandra was a keen singer and often sang in church and sometimes for charity events.
