Rugby star Sir Clive Woodward was one of the speakers at the 2022 Hearing Expo organised by the Association of Independent Hearing and Healthcare Professionals.
Sir Clive, Rugby World Cup Winning Coach and 2006-12 Team GB Director of Sport, gave an inspirational and engaging talk using insights from his career as athlete, coach and businessman.
Titled the “DNA of a Champion”, Sir Clive’s talk looked at the idea that great teams are made of great individuals.
The Expo also featured other talks, from motivational speakers Gavin Ingham and Mike Stevenson as well as from the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, the increased risk of falls among those with hearing impairment and one on research around message framing, the way in which positive or negative information is presented.
Attendees also had the chance to ask questions of a panel made up of senior executives from hearing aid manufacturers.
The weekend included the Golden Lobes Awards which recognised the expertise of various people working for hearing aid manufacturers as well as a large trade exhibition featuring the latest advances in hearing aids and hearing healthcare.
